"I can say in full honesty that our experiences visiting San Miguel de Allende and staying at Villa Puerta del Sol over the last few years have been the best family trips we have ever taken and we plan on doing it every year. The house itself is world class and the destination lends itself for those interested in relaxation and self discovery. All in all a true gem."

Now that we have gotten back home, put out the work fires that inevitably erupted during our week of bliss in SMA, we can relax and say, “Thank you” for your hospitality and assistance in making our trip great. We loved everything about our trip, it’s hard to know what to single out. Please tell the owner of Villa Puerta del Sol that we absolutely loved staying at his beautiful home. It exceeded our expectations in every way and was perfect and luxurious in every last detail. The staff was terrific, and Sylvia’s food was delicious.
The town was even more lovely than I remembered. We enjoyed (and learned to trust) all of your restaurant and activity recommendations, and found a few of our own that turned out to be great. Because it was so close to our house, and is such a lovely setting, we became “regulars” at the bar at Sierra Nevada en el Parque. Almost every night we stopped in there on our way out or on the way home, and frequently had the whole place to ourselves. We also had a really good, reasonably priced dinner in their dining room. Again, we had the whole place to ourselves. For anyone staying in Privada del Sol or thereabouts, you should suggest Sierra Nevada as a comfortable (if somewhat upscale feeling) nearby place to go.
