About The Founder
Experience
The founder and principal of The Weybridge Collection, Robert H. Glaze, has 31 years of commercial banking and commercial real estate experience. His passion, though, is travel, art, photography and philanthropy.
Traveler
Bob has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia and parts of South America and North Africa. For the past five years he has also traveled extensively throughout Mexico, where he as made San Miguel de Allende his second home.
Artist
Bob has given generous support to the art community, by being involved in the following art organizations: The Art Institute of Chicago, National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago, Friends of Folk Art at the Museum of Folk Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico, The Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass, Colorado and the Annual Fund of the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Illinois. Not only does Bob support the arts, he is an avid collector and creates art as well. He has studied with several National Geographic photographers and has been asked to participate in two group shows in Chicago.
Philanthropist
Bob believes in getting involved in the communities where he resides and does business. He recently became involved in Casa Hogar Santa Julia don Bosco, a girls orphanage in San Miguel, for which he is starting a Chicago Chapter. He has also just helped fund a pre-school in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam through Room-to-Read.
His international perspective, his involvement in many residential properties in the United States and Mexico, his sense of taste, design and style, and attention to detail and his extensive real estate background make him uniquely qualified to head the Weybridge Collection.
